Divisional Music & Arts Competition 2026

The 2026 Music & Arts Competition is a solo and group event open to participants between the ages of 7 and 23 who are active in their corps.

On this page, you will be able to find important dates, guidelines, repertoire, and the registration link when sign-up begins.

IMPORTANT DATES

December 1, 2025 - Competition (solo & singing company) registration begins

January 24, 2026 - Solo Competition registration due

March 6, 2026 - Solo Competition

March 9, 2025 - Singing Company Competition registration due

April 11, 2026 - Singing Company Competition

SOLO Dance

Embrace the freedom and get creative! Dancers will choregraph and perform their own solo routine.

Level 1 participants will perform a routine to one of the song options below.
Level 2 & 3 participants will perform a routine to a song of their choice (see below for details).
Attire must be an appropriate size/length.
Choreography must be original.

When choreographing, consider reviewing this technique list as well as researching proper form and posture.

DANCER SELECTS THEIR OWN SONG

Utilize any style of music that makes you want to dance!

This includes instrumental music with no lyrics.

Must be between 2 – 4 minutes
Songs with lyrics must have a positive or Christian message.
Corps officer and a member of the music department must approve of song selections

LEVEL 3

DANCER SELECTS THEIR OWN SONG

Same guidelines as Level 2

Dramatic Monologue

Don’t just recite the words; breathe life into them with your own interpretation!

PERFORMER REQUIREMENTS

1. The script must be presented from memory.

2. Before you start, briefly introduce yourself

Ex) “My name is [NAME], and I am from [HOME CORPS].”

3. Appropriate props and costumes are allowed as long as they don’t distract from the performance.

4. Light ad-libbing is permitted as long as it doesn’t stray too far from the script and remains appropriate.
