2026 MusiCamp Auditions
Here you will find the audition materials for each MusiCamp major. Be sure to look over and practice this material daily as well as checking the demonstrations for reference.
WHAT IS MUSICAMP?
Rappahannock MusiCamp is the first week of camp each summer (June 16-21 this year). Hundreds of young people throughout the Potomac Division descend on Camp Rappahannock each June bringing their instruments, Bibles, paintbrushes, dance shoes, etc. In the morning they have Bible study (morning manna), and work hard in rehearsals. After lunch they continue rehearsing and even have time for recreation and swimming. Then they participate in Evening Program activities like water games, pool parties, recitals, and cabin challenges. Finally, before retreating to their cabins they reflect on the day at the Cross during Vespers.
WHO IS MUSICAMP FOR?
MusiCamp is for kids (ages 8 and up) who are ALREADY ACTIVE in their local corps music & arts program. In the case of beginners, they need to be active in their corps in some way. They need not be soldiers but must have a consistent, committed, and regular relationship to their corps in the Potomac Division.
Many leaders also join their young people and serve as our program staff. They teach classes, lead activities, and make the whole thing work!
HOW TO APPLY
Create a profile at AdminiCamp.com and check the box for MusiCamp! You'll select your Major, Instrument, and Elective Choices. What are you waiting for?!
MUSICAMP AUDITIONS
Not every major has auditions. Art majors do NOT audition; although they should be actively honing their craft prior to camp, they will automatically be placed in their class when they arrive. Electives do not have auditions, although some elective classes are specialized and have prerequisites or limited space.
Brass, percussion, piano, acting, and dance do have auditions; they must prepare the audition material once it's released to the full extent of their ability (SEE TOP OF PAGE FOR AUDITION MATERIAL). All auditionees are encouraged to seek help to learn their part well. Auditions have a tremendous impact on the MusiCamp experience, so prepare diligently and do as well as possible!
